The Events Dashboard

Under the Events tab, you’ll find your full event history in one place. That includes everything from events you’re still building, to events that are currently live, all the way through to events that have already finished.

As you use the dashboard, you’ll notice every event falls into one of four states: Draft, Open, Closed, or Archived. Each one simply reflects where the event is in its lifecycle—or how you’ve chosen to organize it.

Draft Events

Draft events are exactly what they sound like: events you’ve started but haven’t finished setting up yet.

They only show up for you, and they’re there so you can come back and continue building whenever you’re ready.

From a draft, you can either:

  • jump back in with Manage Draft to continue setup

  • or remove it completely with Delete Draft if you don’t need it anymore

Open Events

Open events are the ones that are active right now.

That might mean the event is coming up, already published, or currently accepting registrations.

From here, you can manage the event, preview the public registration page, duplicate it for reuse, or adjust settings as needed.

And if you ever need to stop registrations early, you can manually close the event at any time.

Closed Events

Closed events are events that are no longer accepting registrations.

Most of the time, this happens automatically once the event date has passed, but you can also close an event manually if you want to stop registrations ahead of time.

Even though they’re no longer active, closed events stay in your main Events dashboard because they’re still useful for ongoing work like:

  • reviewing registrations and attendance

  • pulling reports and reconciliation

  • handling post-event follow-up

So think of closed events as “done running,” but still part of your day-to-day workspace.

Archived Events

Archived events are the ones you’ve chosen to move out of your main Events view.

This isn’t about removing anything—it’s just a way to keep your dashboard focused on what you’re actively working on.

To archive an event, open the event’s action menu and select Archive.

Once you do, the event moves out of your main list and into your Archived Events section.

You can still open it anytime to view full details and history, and if you need it back in your main view, you can unarchive it and it’ll return to your Events dashboard just like before.
