Setting Up Your Processor

To begin processing payments—whether for ticket sales, sponsorships, or donations—you must first set up a connected Stripe payment processor. This step is essential because it enables your organization to securely accept, process, and receive funds from customers.

A connected Stripe account acts as the financial bridge between the FundEasy platform and your bank account. Without it, there is no way to capture payments or transfer funds. By connecting Stripe, you gain access to a trusted and widely used payment infrastructure that handles transactions, compliance, and security on your behalf.

Additionally, setting up a connected Stripe processor ensures:

  • Secure payment processing: Stripe manages sensitive payment data and helps protect against fraud.

  • Direct payouts: Funds collected from customers can be automatically transferred to your bank account.

  • Multiple payment methods: You can accept credit cards, digital wallets, and other popular payment options.

In short, connecting a Stripe processor is a required first step to enable any kind of financial transaction on the platform. Once configured, you’ll be ready to start collecting payments seamlessly and securely.

To get started, simply navigate to the account level Payments tool (accessible from the main navigation or through your user dropdown menu) and follow the wizard to get connected!

If you finish your Stripe setup, but still get an error message that something is missing, simply navigate back to Stripe to see what fields are still needing filled in (these will be clearly marked for you).

You’ll know you’re all finished when you are directed back into the FundEasy platform and everything is marked in green!

Securing a Stripe Non-Profit Rate

If your organization is a registered nonprofit, we recommend reaching out to Stripe to apply for their nonprofit pricing program. Eligible nonprofits may qualify for reduced processing fees, which can help lower transaction costs and maximize the impact of donations and payments received through your account.
