The Affiliations tool gives you a central place to manage the organizations connected to your ministry, such as churches, schools, businesses, or other community partners. Maintaining this list makes it easier for participants to select the correct affiliation during registration and helps keep your reporting organized.
From the Affiliations tool, you can add new organizations, correct existing information, and clean up duplicate records as your list grows.
Add or Import Affiliations
When you're first setting up your affiliation list, you have two options:
Add affiliations individually using Add Affiliation.
Import multiple affiliations at once using a CSV file.
If you already have a spreadsheet of churches, schools, businesses, or other affiliated organizations, importing a CSV is the fastest way to build your list.
During the import process, you'll select your CSV file and match each column to the appropriate FundEasy field. Common fields include:
Affiliation name
Address
City, state, and ZIP code
Contact first name and last name
Contact email
Contact phone number
If your spreadsheet contains information that doesn't have a matching FundEasy field, you can leave that column unmapped.
Once the import is complete, your affiliations will appear in the dashboard and can be managed from there.
Edit an Affiliation or Correct a Typo
If you need to fix a typo or update an affiliation's information, you can easily make changes directly from the Affiliations tool.
This is helpful for situations like:
Correcting a misspelled organization name
Updating an address
Changing a contact's first name or last name
Updating a contact email address or phone number
To edit an affiliation, locate the record you need to update and select it. Then choose the Edit option (green edit icon) to make your changes.
After saving, the updated information will appear throughout FundEasy, including any affiliation dropdowns used on registration forms.
Remove Duplicate Affiliations
Over time, your affiliation list may collect duplicate records. This can happen if you import affiliation lists from multiple sources or if a participant creates a new affiliation because they couldn't find an existing one during registration.
If you notice duplicate affiliations, you can safely remove the extra record while keeping your participant data intact.
First, search for the duplicate affiliation and compare the records. When deciding which one to keep, it's usually best to keep the record with the most complete information, such as a contact name, email address, or phone number.
While deleting the duplicate, FundEasy will show you any members currently associated with that record and allow you to connect them to the correct affiliation. Once you save your changes, the duplicate is removed and all associated members remain properly linked.
