If your event template has Table Hosts features enabled, then your event will begin with a default Table Host registration already set up. We wanted to the heavy lifting for you!

If you create a brand new Table Host event, then you will automatically have a guest registration and a table host registration already ready to go, just like in this screenshot:

Customizing the Default

Of course, we understand that you might want to customize. Maybe you want to change the name or description from what we give you by default. No problem! Just open the “Edit Settings” option and you can customize however you need.

Making Additional Specifications

You will notice that host registration types have a lot more specifications to configure than regular guest registrations. Here’s a quick breakdown of each additional setting.

Limiting the Number of Table Hosts

One question that we will ask you in the settings is, “How many Table Hosts can register for this registration?”

Let’s say you know you will have 25 tables at your venue, so you do not want more than 25 Table Hosts to sign up for this event. Simply enter “25” as your limit and the system will prevent any more Table Hosts from registering after that limit is reached.

If you do not want to limit the number of Table Hosts, simply leave this field blank.

Limiting the Number of Guests per Host

How many guests will each Table Host be responsible for? This is the place to specify how many guests each host will manage.

Linking a Guest Registration

Table Hosts are still guests. (In other words, not all guests are Table Hosts; but all Table Hosts are guests.)

In this section of the settings configuration, you can specify which type of Guest Registration to link. In most cases, this will just be the default Guest Registration that came with the event template.

When you're setting up a new Table Host registration, you'll want to make sure that you link it to a Guest Registration so that the host’s attendance details are collected as well.

Keeping Host Registrations Private (Invitation Only)

For some events, you may want to register Table Hosts by invitation only. In other words, someone should not be able to go to your event webpage and register themself as a Table Host.

If that is the case, then just make sure that your Table Host’s “Public” toggle is turned to off.

You’ll still be able to register Table Hosts from your Admin Dashboard using the “Register Person” feature:

However, Table Hosts will not display as an option on your public event page:
